Digital Masks can be very problematic and can cause a linotronic to choke. It's best to use the PathFinder option or the Minus-Front Option to break the design into smaller objects. Compound paths can also cause the linotronic printer to choke....it's best to keep the number of paths to an absolute minimum. Brush objects can also create issues. These can be converted into generic paths by saving the object as an older EPS file.
Check for the existence of both CMYK and Spot colors that exist simultaneously....this should almost never occur, with the rare exception that you need a spot color to simulate a color that is outside the regular gamut color of Process color printing. Adding spot colors will only increase the costs of the print. jobs.
