Okay, you want your design to incorporate a human element. This can be problematic because of the issue of diversity. Do you want your design showing a white businessman or businesswoman? Would you like to have this as your permanent identity as our national increasingly becomes more multi-ethic and the economy more global?
To use a human figure while at the same time trying to be diverse basically means that you will have to now have 4 human figures for each of the major ethnic types: white, black, yellow and brown. This can make your artwork too busy.
There are ways around this problem: make the human form abstract and racially neutral. This can be achieved by using outlines with no colors as the main artistic element. It might also be necessary to use a great deal of abstraction in the face so that any obvious features identifying a particular ethnicity will not show.
Racially neutral colors can also be used if you don’t want to use just outlines. Pastels of blue or green might work will in this circumstance.
Diversity is an issue that is increasing important in corporate identity. Don’t make the mistake of putting just one ethnicity on your design.
