Printing Issues in Design: - Creating those Wonderful Gradient Blend Effects
You might have seen logos that have a really attractive gradient-blend effect. You might think that it might be expensive to have such a design printed. The good news is that it is not. We will show hyou how to achieve this gradient effect.
Look at the circle below. It has just one color, in this case Pantone 133.

All you have to do here is duplicated the circle (copy and paste) and shrink it to 2% of the original size. Then, on the color slider change the Pantone percentage to white (0%).

From the Objects menu in Illustrator, choose Blends, then Make

Voila...you have a beautiful object with a gradient effect...and the best part is: you are still only using just one Pantone color in your design.
